I have shared my personal narrative multiple times, but this time it was different. I was so emotional before and after shedding tears because of the innocent lives that are lost every day due to gun violence. It is hard to understand why murder continues to happen. Most importantly why innocent lives leave our world. It is time to wake up. It is time to step up and act.

During my speech I asked the crowd if they were alive during the civil rights movement what would they do ? Interestingly, I went home that same night and had a dream about racial inequality. In the dream people were rising up and coming together to create justice. This is exactly what we need to do and what we are starting to do.
There is not a better time then now to change our community and our world. Now is not a time to fear, but a time to collaborate our voices, opinions and ideas because that is how we are stronger and it is how we are going to get things done.
Peace is possible.
